Overview
Fantokens.com is the fastest and easiest way to track Fan Token prices, covering some of the biggest names in sports and esports, including FC Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
I contributed to building and maintaining the product as part of the same frontend team behind Socios.com.
What I did
- Rewrote the majority of the component library on a custom token-based Tailwind design system with theming and Storybook, and replaced Chakra UI with in-house components built on shadcn/ui, cutting load times and unifying the design language.
- Improved load performance with route-level React.lazy code splitting, component-level and image lazy loading, and IntersectionObserver-triggered incremental fetching.
- Took end-to-end test coverage from 0% to 90% with Playwright, sharply reducing regressions on existing user flows.
- Built a proof of concept integrating TradingView charts as a new charting library, giving users clearer visibility into the tradability of existing tokens.
